Okay. I really like this tutorial but the thing is that I have never played piano before…..ever!! So when tou keep going, even though you have slowed down quite a bit, you keep losing me and I get really frustrated. So breaking it up even further would be very helpful.

Nice man! Despite what everyone says about you going too fast, I believe you are going the oorrect pace. (It’s actually a bit slow for me at times) The only part I mess up on is the order of each “set” of notes. Since I haven’t EVER played piano before, I have to group each set of notes to play. It’s actually a very easy tutorial; all you gotta do is pause and evaluate

If anyone really wants to learn the piano I highly recommend learning how to read sheet music. It will take alot of work, but the results will more than make up it. Just imagine it, you can find the sheet music to Fireflies online and play the whole thing with ease, all the while laughing at how you used to look up basic tutorials online, no more!!

@Zeikid You should buy a laptop, than you can put your laptop above your piano and only have to press pause while sitting at your piano. You can also record it on your phone or something. i do that sometimes. so when i’m sitting at my piano i can listento it again.

i got a keyboard to hook it up next to my computer– then when i masterede a part, id go to my full size grand piano and it was easier to remember…

HEy um i was practicing this from the sheet music on your link and it actually says differently then what youre playing here, or atleast in the intro, like on the sheet theres not B bE F in the second (BCBCbEB) pattern. and theres no time when you play two notes at the same time. did you learn what youre playing from a slightly different version of the music?

This would be a lot easier to learn if the keys were highlighted, had the notes as subtitles or if your hands weren’t in the way of the keys. When each finger is rested on a different note, i can’t even tell wish finger is pushing down on the key! I’ve been practising this for like an hour and im only up to 3:30 in the vid.
